SCREEN PRINTED MUSIC PACKAGING

Here at KIN.DER we do all sorts of custom print and design work and something we’ve done a fair bit of in the last 18 months is screen printed music packaging.

The music industry has changed massively over the past few years as people buy less physical copies of records and turn to streaming services. This means the days of small bands and labels selling 1000’s of records are sadly either gone or dwindling quite fast.

Something we’ve noticed is that artists are turning more to limited editions of releases which are hand-crafted/packaged, numbered and generally made with plenty of love and attention. This means smaller runs of releases are more possible and the physical item itself becomes more collectable and interesting for the fan/buyer.

We use custom cut recycled card CD sleeves that can house either one or two discs. These are made unglued and flat so are perfect for screen printing on. It’s also possible for us to make cassette sleeves, inserts, posters and probably other things you can think of that can be laid flat.
